Flu and Tdap vaccines can generally be administered during the same visit when both are medically appropriate and available. Each vaccine is administered at a separate injection site.

A mild illness does not always prevent vaccination. However, a moderate or severe illness—with or without fever—may be a reason to delay vaccination. Our clinical team will review your current symptoms before administering a vaccine.

Common reactions may include pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site. Some patients may also experience temporary fatigue, headache, muscle aches, nausea, or a mild fever.
Serious reactions are rare. Patients should seek immediate medical attention for difficulty breathing, facial or throat swelling, severe dizziness, widespread hives, or other signs of a serious allergic reaction.
